Speaking of Turrets...

Wildcard just announced that on officials, they will be limiting turrets to 100 in a 10000 unit (100 meter) radius:

- Implemented Turret Counter on HUD in preparation for Turret Count Limiting (clamping how many Turrets can be built in an area on servers, to dramatically improve server performance). You can enable the Turret Counter HUD on your own Unofficial by changing this config property (just a HUD indicator for now, later this property will actually hard-limit the number of Turrets):

I am going on record as saying that we will never have that limit here. This is one of the reasons that Fusion Gamers uses overclocked dedicated machines -- to never have to implement knee-jerk changes. Our servers stay performant without the limit.

If in the future the servers get bogged down, we may implement some kind of limit. However, there is no plan for any kind of limit at this time. If we do implement a limit, it will be closer to 500, rather than 100. Also, that will likely come with a fairly sizable buff to turrets, as reducing the quantity of defenses on a base (for server performance) should absolutely not equate to sacrificing quality of defense.
